As a Sophomore Guild Leader, I have the responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant. I am the leader of a small group of freshmen. Some of the duties I am required to do include: meeting weekly with my small group, meeting weekly with my Junior Guild Leader, grading assignments, and working with the instructor. This is a two-semester on-campus job.

ABOUT MAX IFFERT
I was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minnesota where I attended every level of education. I grew up in a small military family where my father was in and out of the house serving our country. This inspired my parents to send me to Saint Thomas Academy, an all-male, military, Catholic, and college-prep high school where I learned important lessons and value that I carry with me to this day such as leadership and professionalism.Since the age of 14 I have been in the world of work. I started off bagging groceries at Lunds & Byerlys for a summer and eventually got hired at my childhood summer camp as a park activity leader. After a couple years working at the park, I was promoted to senior leader, and then site coordinator. I’ve learned the values of childcare and the importance of treating children with kindness and respect. Furthering my experience working in childcare, I volunteered my time at Visitation High School which had me teach and monitor children as a senior in high school for my service project. Currently I am studying biochemistry at the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences on the pre-med track.I aspire to attend medical school following the completion of my undergraduate degree and serve my community as a doctor.
