SCI Technology, a Sanmina Company. Responsible for developing company-wide technology and product roadmaps and rapidly maturing new technologies into commercial product offerings. Focus areas include autonomous systems, airborne UAS / sUAS platforms and LRUs, and subsea applications. Led creation of the Advanced Technology Group business unit to establish rapid product development capability outside of legacy design process. Unified electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software development, and program management inside business unit to reduce time to market and improve collaboration. Evaluated new technologies and partners to refresh legacy products base and diversify into new markets. Drafted MOU/MOAs, JDAs, and Master Service Agreements to establish formal partnerships with technology companies. Evaluated M&A candidates. Leveraged SCI’s aerospace and defense background to enter new safety critical markets. Developed a Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS)/ Counter-Drone system targeted at commercial and military customers. This unique system is ultra-low collateral damage and is appropriate for protection of crowded civilian venues (sporting events, concerts, inaugurations, etc.) within and outside of the United States. Multiple patents pending, establishing significant IP for SCI within the unmanned aerial systems market space. Additional partnerships with universities and spin-off companies established for development of ultra-fast laser measurement systems for surgical applications, high torque density electric machines for the industrial market, gas monitoring for commercial nuclear power, and secure wireless communications technology for defense and federal government markets. Supported a wide range of existing and new programs as embedded systems and RF subject matter expert, including jammers, electronic decoys, commercial satcom, commercial and military aircraft avionics, and rugged embedded computing.
