About Max Donley
Max currently leads Strategy and Operations (Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, CMC, Facilities, HR, and IT) for Aurinia Pharmaceuticals. Previously, Max led Human Resources, Information Technology and Facilities at Senseonics. Prior to that, he was EVP of Global HR, IT, and Corporate Strategy at Sucampo until its acquisition in February 2018. As a key leader on Sucampo\'s executive team, Max reported to the CEO responsible for all aspects of global human capital, IT and strategy investments. He provided business-integrated leadership and delivers professional tools, programs and service to optimize Sucampo’s global strategy which led to the ultimate sale of Sucampo for $1.2B in February, 2018.In 2014, Max founded and became President and Director for healthcare technology accelerator firm, Axcelerant Health which existed to expedite market entry and impact for emerging health tech across biopharm. In 2013, Max started The Donley Group where he leads the firm\'s human resources practice for clients across all industries and geographies - his work includes search, leadership coaching, strategy formation and implementation, organizational effectiveness and compensation servicing leading organizations.Prior to starting The Donley Group, Max was the EVP, HR and Corporate Affairs at MedImmune, where he built HR and CA business partnerships across the company to advance organizational strategies. He was Secretary of MedImmune’s Board of Directors’ Compensation Committee, a Voting Member of AstraZeneca Compensation and Benefits Committee and Chairman of the Investment Committee with fiduciary responsibility for over $300M in assets under management. MedImmune recruited Max from Bed Bath & Beyond where he was the responsible for all field HR activities and built a scalable HR infrastructure to help Bed Bath & Beyond grow from 20 locations to over 300 nationwide. Max has led in a variety of other settings including Civic Associations, Fundraising, Coaching and Chairing the Bio HR Committee. Max received his B.A. from University of Michigan and his M.B.A. from the George Mason University.
