ABOUT MASSIMO DE SANTO

I got my Laurea Degree cum Laude in Electronic Engineering in 1985 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering in 1989. I am a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Salerno DIIN—Department of Industrial Engineering, where I am currently the Coordinator of the PhD Program in Industrial Engineering. For 12 years, I was the Chairman of the Center for Information and Communication Technologies for Cultural Heritage of the University of Salerno. From 2005 to 2023, I was the Chairman of the Italian Chapter of the Education Society.My main research interests are Computer Networks, Web, Computer Vision and Elearning.I have significant experience and skills as the scientific coordinator of National and International Research Projects and have authored more than 250 scientific publications. I also wrote some books, including one (in Italian) about the use of ICT in the fields of the Arts and music and I co-authored a book published by Springer titled \"Data Management in Pervasive Systems.\"I participated as an Invited Speaker at several International Conferences and was a member of the Scientific Committee of International Workshops and Conferences. For many years, I have contributed as a Reviewer for International Journals.I am a member of the and ACM. Last but not least, I am intrigued by the intricate intertwining of technology, economy, society, etc. To cultivate this passion, I became a journalist.
