ABOUT MAX BARRINGTON JOHNSON

After completing his education, Max co-founded a successful events business with sole responsibility for Sales & Marketing and quickly grew the business by winning several key corporate clients. Following the sale of the company, the skills Max had developed during his time naturally led him to key account management roles, including a period with Huddersfield Town Football Club. Max was then tempted by a career in recruitment, and chose to specialise in the Accountancy / Finance & HR sectors where he successfully built up his experience whilst working with leading clients across the Yorkshire market. After 5 successful and rewarding years in Recruitment Max left the industry to go back to his roots re-launching Marquee Events. As Managing Director and significant shareholder Max steered the company from £0 to £600k turnover in just under 4 years before ceasing involvement through an asset sales agreement.In 2020 (mid global pandemic) Max and his co partner successfully launched Marquee Structures, a company manufacturing Marquee Framework and PVC Covers. Amid difficult trading conditions the company hit sales of £600k in the first 12 months of trading. In 2022 the company hit sales of £1.1m and become one of the leading players in the temporary structure manufacturing market.
