ABOUT MAX TAYLOR
Hi! I\'m a Senior Researcher at Animal Charity Evaluators (ACE), where I help donors find highly effective organizations that do a huge amount of good for animals.Alongside my work at ACE I\'m researching all the good, bad, and ugly ways that AI could affect animals, from pet tech and interspecies communication to alternative proteins and factory farming. My book on this will soon be published by HarperCollins. I also curate news on AI and animals for the monthly(ish) Sentient Futures newsletter. Before joining ACE I worked in the UK Civil Service for six years, contributing to policy development on the European Union, environmental issues, and animal welfare. Most recently I headed up the Animal Welfare Labelling team, helping devise a new policy to inform consumers about the welfare standards behind animal food products.Beyond researching and writing, I spend my time running, hiking, swimming, and otherwise trying to be outside as much as possible
