Microplastics are in 94.4% of the tap water in the United States, in 77% of humans\' blood streams, and in 76% of tested breast milk. It\'s time to stop the cycle. This is why we founded CLEANR. In 2020, we learned that 180 million metric tons of microplastics were entering the environment every year from washing machines alone. These microplastics are associated with and linked to a variety of health and climate consequences, yet no one seemed to have an effective solution to the problem. We were determined to create the first truly effective, effortless microplastic filtration technology. Our goal was to develop a filter that was effective, easy to use, and applicable to multiple microplastic sources. Hundreds of prototypes later, we are now installing our biomimicry inspired filter that makes microplastic filtration effortless - inspired by nature for nature. At CLEANR Inc, we build platform filter technology to provide effective and cost-efficient solutions which enable product manufacturers and business customers to materially reduce microplastic emissions from water and other liquid and aerosol substances. In keeping with our mission, we build best-in-class microplastic filters for washing machines that effortlessly remove the largest source of microplastics into the environment.
