Max Gomez

About Max Gomez

Max Gomez has a Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Policy and Management, from Yale University and received certification in Lean Process Improvement from the University Of Michigan School Of Industrial Engineering. After his graduate work, Max was awarded the Management Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Following his fellowship Max held two positions at MGH; the first being Administrative Manager for Sterile Processing and OR Special Projects and subsequently as the Director for Quality Management and Education for the Department of Radiology. Max has also served as Director of Perioperative Services at St. Mary Medical Center in San Francisco. Over the course of his career, Max has designed several sterile processing departments and published several articles on process improvement and technology implementation in various health industry journals. Max has extensive experience in process improvement and sustainment, technology implementation, data management and business intelligence, and developing and implementing educational programs for professional and entry-level staff. Max currently serves as the System Director for Sterile Operations and Logistics at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System.
