ABOUT MAX COLLINS

As a current senior economics major at Dickinson College, I have developed an understanding of why decisions are made from a macroeconomic and microeconomic level, as well as how those decisions affect the people around them. Additionally, I have analyzed data qualitatively and quantitatively, and furthermore used that data to make economic decisions. My overall academic experience within the liberal arts curriculum has allowed me to develop my critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and continuously collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Aside from my undergraduate studies, I have had the privilege to balance my academics with athletics being an athlete on the Dickinson Men’s Cross Country and Track Teams. Throughout my experience as a collegiate athlete I have been able to learn the value of teamwork and communication in fostering athletic success among my teammates and I. I look to transfer these skills into a professional workplace setting to create similar success among my colleagues. More so, I have had the opportunity to be involved in other extracurriculars outside of the student-athlete experience, mostly recently being assigned the Treasurer of the Dickinson Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and a member of the Admissions Executive Board. I look forward to continue fostering connections with people and be able to apply my background in the liberal arts, economics, and athletics to help businesses achieve their goals and make positive contributions to my community.
