About Max Cianci

Hello! My name is Max Cianci, and I\'m the Director and owner of Carousel Filmworks, a full-service film production company that specializes in creative videos for brands.My love for storytelling and filmmaking brought me to Pittsburgh, where I enrolled in Point Park University\'s Conservatory of Performing Arts. During my time at school, I wrote, produced, and directed short films with my peers. Throughout this process, I learned my love for directing. In 2018, I graduated from Point Park University with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Production with a concentration in Film Directing. While in school, I traveled internationally studying film. I helped create a short film in France during the Cannes Film Festival and spent a summer studying art in New Zealand. While at Massey University in Wellington, I studied experimental theatre and film. After graduating, I worked for two years as a staff set production assistant on film and television. I worked on shows for Netflix, Universal Studios, and Spectrum Originals in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. I also spent two semesters teaching at the Community College of Allegheny County. I co-taught an intro to film course, as well as created a curriculum and taught a film directing course.For two years, I worked as Carnegie Museum of Art\'s Digital Content Producer. In this role, I conceptualized, produced, directed, filmed, and edited videos that featured artists, artworks, and exhibitions taking place at the museum. I also was a part of the museum\'s rebranding process, working with leadership to help create and implement the new video style of the museum.I\'ve begun producing and directing my own commercial work for my company, Carousel Filmworks.
