In 1978 he invented, designed, patented and then in 1980 manufactured 100 Examples of a highly superior aerodynamic sail with a skateboard “the SailSkate” that can be adapted to sand, water, snow and Ice with spectacular results, creating a exciting new extreme sport that flys across any surface.In 1983, 1986 & 1987 Michael, worked in Sports Marketing creating a media promotion delivering champagne on a windsurfer with a tuxedo to the winner’s of the America’s Cup, and additionally produced a video documentary of the races in 1983 & 1987.Also in 1986 Michael produced a TV program on the Rolex Gold Cup polo tournament and broadcast it on FNN cable network and secured Rolex, Polo Ralph Lauren, BMW and Tattinger Champagne as sponsors. Moving to Paris in 1989, he worked, for five years as an Interior Design Project Manager for Polo Ralph Lauren where he helped to plan and open more than 60 Polo stores and showrooms across Europe. This background gave him a unique experience designing store exteriors, interiors, designing custom furniture and purchasing art and antiques in every European market. With these qualifications, he founded Wilson & Associates to provide exclusive services for clients looking design custom timeless contemporary furniture and interiors for retail and residential projects and help his clients to source decorative furnishings and antiques.
