Industry’s First On-package 48V Voltage Regulator using LV-GaN Transistors: Developed industry’s first on-package 48V intermediate bus converter for AI/HPC workloads utilizing Intel’s proprietary LV-GaN technology, achieving a record 6.8 kW/in3 density and >96% peak efficiency. This technology paves way for dramatic improvement in end-to-end efficiency and scalability by bringing a higher voltage on to the processor’s package. This work received the best presentation award at APEC 2025.• High Density Low Z-height Vertical PD Solution Next-gen AI Processors: Leading the development of high voltage input, low z-height VRs to fuel advances in HPC, AI, and wafer scale computing with >10x target power density than state-of-art and >90% efficiency. Catalyzing innovations in multiple technological fronts including packaging, passives, devices, architecture, and control to achieve this goal.
