Working closely with the R&D team and the project managers on the NPI (New Product Introduction) and VE (Value Engineering - redesign) projects. Implementing the supply chain management to: drive commercial leverage, achieve the lowest total costs, continuously improve quality - delivery - cycle time performances, involve the suppliers in the product development.Principal accountabilities:• Develop a supplier plan for the assigned projects assigned, contract with prospective and incumbent suppliers, ensure that the key project milestones (tracked also with KPIs) are met and properly documented• Execute source selection in conjunction with CoE (Center of Excellence) commodity strategy to drive the right costs from day-one, increase commercial leverage and drive significant NPI and VE cost avoidance• Complete all aspects of NPI sourcing process from bid to award, including the utilization of eAuctions• Execute source selection and initial orders for the new projects to ensure on-time competitive source selection and align delivery needs to minimize any risks• Work with the ISC cross-functional team in the factory for a smooth transition to manage the production process• Support the R&D team in the Design for Manufacturability to optimize the production process in the factory• Ascertain with the Supplier Quality Engineer that the PPAP is done for the items requiring it and anyway all the necessary documents are available and properly archived• Support the best supply chain management ensuring that the right forecasts are inserted in the ERP system, working when applicable in VMI/consignment agreement, in order to avoid both shortages and extra stock
