ABOUT MAURIZIO ROI

Maurizio Roi biography Born sixty years ago in Romagna town,i have divided my life between two passions that have also been my job, social issue and cultural activity. When i was young, i created a Radio and with a group of young people a Music Festival, an open air Cinema, and some other cultural activity. Also for that I was involved in the government of my city.At the beginning of the 1980s a new generation the city government. In those years Lugo di Romagna began an economic transformation that we accompanied with a huge growth in cultural activity,which made it a national case. When in 1989 I became first councillor and then mayor of the city i found myself at the head of one of the minor municipalities with important cultural institutions, demonstrations and original proposal. The Rossini theatre was among the first to devote itself to the rediscovery of works no longer performed in modern epic. The role of Emilia/Romagna theatre association President has allowed me to get to know and collaborate with small and large municipalities, important companies and new realities,to know perfectly the most important region for performing arts in Italy. Ater is also one of the main dance and ballet agencies, which enable me to get to know and work with great artists and mature a international esperiences. Later i became President of Arturo Toscanini Foundation. The first regional Orchestral in Italy.When I arrive a Parma for this job the economic situation was very difficult, the same situation that I found in Genova. Realy the Carlo Felice was desperate,due to the economic difficulties,the lost credibility in the city,the abandonment by the public and the internal conflict. I finished my mandate when i started a healthy theatre in every aspect,economic and prestige. Evidently rehabilitating institutions is my speciality,since every realty in wich i worked was the starting situation.I travel a lot for job and I like to know people, habit and different situation.I.After the period in Genova Opera House,I decided to take time for my self, to study and realize old projects. With my friend maestro Gianluca Marcianò I worked on the growing of the Lerici Music Festival, at the beginning a very small and local event and now an important musical festival in a beautiful small town on the sea. I. In May 2022 with a group of professional, we open a private company to work on cultural and creative product, named Coop Società Creativa. I mean strategic for the future and is also my passion.
