ABOUT MAURICIO VILLATORO-BLANCO
A Cybersecurity and Information Technology student at East Carolina University (May 2026) with nearly two years of hands-on IT experience at IAT Insurance Group, where I’ve worked in desktop support and endpoint management across a hybrid enterprise environment.My day-to-day work involves supporting Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory and Intune and endpoint security giving me a strong foundation in both IT operations and security compliance.Beyond technical work, I founded the ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals of America) chapter at East Carolina University in 2023 building it from the ground up into an active community that brought 12 students to the ALPFA National Convention in Las Vegas, 13 students to RSS in Miami connecting them with companies like Microsoft, Accenture, EY, Bank of America, Vanguard, and Visa. I now serve as Student Advisor for the chapter I created.I’m bilingual (English/Spanish), passionate about using technology to solve real problems.
