ABOUT MAURICIO CASTRO

Thanks for viewing my profile! I have more than two years of experience in stock market and capital market funding in El Salvador working at the Spot Market Unit in a Broker House – In my work experience, I developed my financial analysis skills – my passion is finance specifically capital markets. I graduated from Universidad Centroamericana “Jose Simeon Canas”; my degree is in Economics. In 2017, I made the challenge to myself of studying abroad; for this reason, I came to Canada. Now, I’m improving my skills in finance learning about developed financial markets. I’m studying a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Finance at Thompson Rivers University. If you have questions about financial analysis, raising capital from the stock market or about math I am only a message away. Education and get involved in my community are also passions of mine and I have been teacher’s assistant in university and also I have volunteering experienced in Students Associations. My experience includes being an academic tutor and teacher assistant because I like reaching out and inspiring others to achieve their goals. Additionally, I’m highly concern and I prefer to stand up and speak when I feel that something needs to be said; I find easy to communicate with others that’s why I got involved in the Student Council when I was in University. During my degree studies, I had the opportunity to use two statistic software: Stata and Eviews. In Applied Econometrics, I presented a worked with a team of 5 peers on an econometric paper providing a forecast in the trade balance of El Salvador; the model was run on Eviews.
