ABOUT MAURICIO QUINONES

With over 20 years of experience in the medical devices industry, I am a senior quality engineering manager at Johnson & Johnson, where I lead quality operations for the Auris MONARCH Robotics platform, a breakthrough technology for minimally invasive surgery. I am passionate about ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance for our products, and delivering innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes and enhance surgeon experience. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as a bilingual engineer, a veteran of the US Air Force, and a continuous learner who values collaboration, excellence, and integrity.In my current role, I manage quality operations for the capital equipment and consumables of the Auris MONARCH Robotics platform, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality management systems, and customer expectations. In my previous role I led the quality transfer strategy, validation, and sustaining model of several production lines from the EES Juarez Mexico plant to the new Jabil NHB3 facility in Baja Mexico, optimizing the requirements and processes for lifecycle management activities. I leveraged my skills in medical devices, validation, and quality management systems to develop partnerships across multiple functional roles at J&J and Jabil, and to foster collaboration during transition and sustaining phases of the collaboration.
