ABOUT MAURICIO ORTIZ

I understand my customers\' needs and integrate the required resources to help them achieve their outcomes. To get there, I analyze the problem they need to resolve or the opportunity they want to exploit, I liaise with my IT colleagues and business stakeholders to translate those needs into clear requirements and together we make the most of the information, technology, processes, and value streams to successfully implement cost-effective solutions, fit for their purpose and use. I am a highly motivated comb-shaped IT professional who is passionate about co-creating value with my customers and continually raising the bar. Committed to continual learning, I have grown my skills in IT Service Management customer experience, release and deployment, service continuity/disaster recovery, change, and project management. What I enjoy the most is articulating the value proposition of improvement initiatives, presenting solid business cases, and especially, implementing and improving ITSM processes aligned with ITIL best practices. When I am not helping my customers achieve their goals, I am hanging out with my wife in the Canadian Rockies, running with our dog Hendrix in Calgary\'s paths, and flying my Remote Controlled planes in Strathmore, Alberta.
