   Reporting directly to YugabyteDB’s CEO, I’m responsible for all facets of corporate IT, security, and privacy for YugabyteDB, including starting the company’s first security & privacy program. During my tenure and in less than three years, I led the organization to successfully achieve: ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and ISO 9001 certification; SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 attestations; and PCI DSS Level 1 Compliance; I also positioned the organization to achieve HiTrust certification with HIPPA compliance as the target scope.• As leader of YugabyteDB’s privacy program, I oversee privacy compliance in both domestic and international jurisdictions including but not limited to compliance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and others.• In accordance with YugabyteDB’s strategy to focus on financial institutions, I worked directly with our General Counsel, outside counsel, and our internal teams to evaluate various global financial regulations to ensure compliance with the privacy & security requirements of those respective regulations to enable YugabyteDB to penetrate global financial markets.• Facilitated the implementation of YugabyteDB’s first published CIS Benchmark and registered YugabyteDB with Mitre.org so that YugabyteDB could issue CVEs for YugabyteDB products and services.• Responsible for a team of security and IT professionals which include security operations, compliance and auditing, vendor risk management, corporate IT, and customer risk management including contract negotiations with Fortune 500 companies. • Responsible for YugabyteDB’s security roadmap including marrying YugabyteDB’s company vision with our tactical roadmap and for briefing the executive team and members of the board on a periodic basis regarding the state of YugabyteDB’s security program.
