I currently serve in the Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP) of the D.C. Army National Guard, where I am preparing for Officer Candidate School with the goal of commissioning as a Finance Officer. I am proud to be part of the only National Guard unit that reports solely to the President of the United States—a legacy dating back to 1802 when President Thomas Jefferson established the D.C. National Guard to protect the nation’s capital.With over 2,700 Soldiers and Airmen, the D.C. National Guard stands ready to serve both our community and our country. We are mission-ready to support civil authorities during local emergencies and provide trained units for active duty in times of national crisis. I am honored to be a part of this dual-mission force, committed to both defending the District and supporting national defense objectives.
