ABOUT MAURICE MCNEAL
Spending over ten years serving in (Pre/Post Go-live) large 300 beds plus environments, I have developed a comprehensive knowledge of clinics, clinician practices/work flows, and hospital operations, procedures/functions and the relationships between them. I have a solid knowledge of the Inpatient and Outpatient clinician workflow and documentation. Working with large and small IT/EMR project teams for the past thirty years, I have developed the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with the project team, key stakeholders, clinicians and staff. I have participated and sometimes facilitated building, planning and problem solving discussions with project teams, clinicians, and leadership. I have facilitated the development of integrated work-flows, productively working closely with large and small project teams, subject matter experts and technical leads to define processes that optimize the end users experience. I host a strong understanding of computer systems, interfaces, software, and IT functions. I possess a firm knowledge and skill sets for Epic system build/trouble shooting (Hyperspace and Unix). I demonstrate solid organizational skills, and I am sensitive to time lines. I provide regular status updates to project lead/manager. I always approach problems constructively, focusing on how to move the project forward. Never allowing anything to take precedence over patient safety collaborating to seek resolution of system design conflicts for points of integration and communicates risk implications to team lead/project manager. I possess strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, written and oral. I adapt to project changes related to scope, schedule, workflow, and system utilization. I am familiar with HIPAA, JCAHO and other regulations that impact physician offices, hospitals, and clinics. I demonstrate an awareness and familiarity with Meaningful Use requirements.
