ABOUT MAUX ELWORTHY

Hi, welcome! I\'m Maux. I hold space for conversations about change, mental health, death, and grief. It\'s my intention to serve individuals and organizations as they journey through today\'s context of change and uncertainty. As a PCC-certified coach, I use evidence-based strategies to empower people to thrive in their mental health while navigating career or life changes. I coach with a dynamic approach integrating tools like CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, somatic experiencing, internal family systems, mindfulness, and art therapy strategies. My passion for facilitation and training grew out of my work training volunteers and community members to respond to suicide risk. Over the past few years, I have continued to expand my facilitation toolkit to include Liberating Structures, the Circle Way, and Organizational Coaching strategies. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I delivered a suite of workplace mental health training programs both in-person and virtually. I\'ve been facilitating ASIST Suicide Intervention workshops for over 12 years, and am passionate about supporting diverse communities in becoming suicide-safer. Supporting friends and family through grief during bereavement and end-of-life experiences sparked my interest in death, grief, and how our culture is so good at avoiding talking about our mortality. As a Death Doula, I help people talk about grief, death, and dying in empowering ways at my Death Cafes. I offer grief companioning, compassionately walking alongside caregivers, friends, and family through the final weeks and months of your loved one\'s life. I guide people through advanced care planning processes and conversations about what matters most at end-of-life so that people can live fully in the time they have here in this lifetime. I also support front-line workers in building their capacity to hold space for grief.I’m known for my calm, grounded approach to facilitation and coaching, integrating my knowledge of change theory, mental health, polyvagal theory, and experiential learning into my work.
