Prior to this role, I developed business opportunities with US customers involved in power and infrastructure projects in Africa and I drove thought leadership inside the bank around off-grid and blended finance initiatives with donor supported projects. Previously, I served as Director and Head, International Development Group where I was responsible for broadening Standard Bank’s solutions for customers involved in African development initiatives. This involved providing leadership for business strategy development and execution for 18 African country businesses. Responsibility included driving innovative financing solutions with sovereign donors and international organizations, positioning Standard Bank as a leader in this segment in terms of market share in the majority of their operating countries, and leading 70+ global relationship management professionals.
