As Legislative Manager for the Illinois Association of Park Districts, I serve as the link between Illinois’ park, recreation, and conservation agencies and the General Assembly. I draft, review, and track legislation affecting more than 400 agencies statewide, manage IAPD’s legislative database, and provide members with timely analyses, updates, and advocacy tools. I also coordinate major advocacy events like the Legislative Conference and Parks Day at the Capitol, identify grant opportunities, and advance policies that strengthen communities, protect natural resources, and expand access to recreation across Illinois.
