About Matt Zupon

I adopted the quote \"The harder I work, the luckier I get\", largely attributable to President Thomas Jefferson, as my philosophy since my early teenage years. I started working at age 12 in my church\'s bingo kitchen and, thankfully, worked honestly and diligently ever since. I spent multiple summers at the Altoona Curve in concessions, a role that provided insight into the daily routine of many fast food workers across the country. In college, I worked at Staples, which broadened my perspective on retail and laid the foundation for my understanding of entrepreneurship. Since graduating from Penn State Altoona with a Bachelor of Science in Business, with a concentration on marketing & management, plus a political science minor, I\'ve worked in the banking and financial industry. I started my banking journey at PNC as a personal banker and was quickly promoted to collateral processor. Following PNC, I worked at Santander Bank as a Relationship Banker, where I helped people and small businesses deepen their financial wellness and expand their wealth. I recently started working at 1st Summit Bank to perform a similar role to Santander. In my volunteer capacity, I heavily invest my time into multiple positions with the Pennsylvania Young Republicans, starting as the Blair County Young Republican Chair and eventually growing into the Deputy Vice Chair for over half of Pennsylvania. In January 2024, I started working as the Grassroots Director, which encompasses every county. I also volunteer with the Knights of Columbus.
