ABOUT MATT RICHARDSON

I am open to work and have the ability to effectivly fill a wide variety of roles. A brief summary of my skills is below-Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)-Academia and Education-Project Management-Event Planning-Cyber and Technologies-Research-Public Speaking -Media Appearences and PublicationsI am an experienced Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), social media, and Dark Web investigations specialist with a proven record of success in intelligence, education, and investigative operations supporting law enforcement, government, and the private sector. My work has most recently focused on uncovering threats related to human trafficking, child exploitation, and Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE) threats, transforming complex intelligence into actionable insights that have resulted in the apprehension of fugitives, recovery of victims, and disruption of extremist activity. Beyond investigating my role involved the recruitment and leadership of my teams, and interfacing with law enforcement, government, and private sector stakeholders and members of the media.In my role as a College Professor I updated existing courses and created new content as well as facilitating lessons in the classroom. As an education consultant, I served as project lead (on the NGO side) and content and curriculum developer of a joint project entitled the *Innovative Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Training Program* with Boston University and Endicott College. Further, I have designed and delivered specialized training sessions for Public Safety Canada, law enforcement, private sector, and a variety of government agencies and NGOs.Beyond my investigative and education roles, I have an extensive background in project management having coordinated large scale complex clinical projects including large multi-site hospital corporations, conferences and events. This included coordinating teams organizing VIP events for high-profile dignitaries (including Prime Ministers and senior cabinet ministers), public town hall events with political figures.I’m deeply committed to advancing education and public awareness. I’ve created national training and awareness programs content for Rogers Communications Cyber Catalyst, the Information Communications Technology Council (ICTC), and government stakeholders. My work has involved close collaboration with academic institutions and members of the media. My work has been featured by major outlets including *CBC’s The Fifth Estate*, BBC, Reuters, and USA Today, and in documentary film projects.
