About Matt Strader
Why do some learners thrive while others struggle? This question drove my doctoral research. Watching my retirement-aged mother attempt to switch careers and face challenges, I began to wonder: How can late-career professionals successfully transition to new roles? And what lessons from their experiences could apply to K-12 education?Through my exploration, I discovered a key insight: We are all lifelong learners, and in today\'s world, learning happens at scale digitally. Whether we\'re students in a classroom or professionals in the workforce, we are digital learners. At the heart of successful digital learning lies self-efficacy. Despite spending nearly a decade in schools, I had never heard of this term. Yet, self-efficacy has been shown to predict success, significantly impact learning, and foster effective learning behaviors for everyone. So, let\'s start the conversation about self-efficacy and its transformative potential in digital learning.
