ABOUT MATT SKIPPER

What I do.I help businesses, organisations and individuals find the right lawyer for their needs. If you are looking to scale up or find investment, protect your intellectual property, deal with a crisis, build resilience or have a complex personal legal issue that you need support with, we will be able help. I\'m also passionate about supporting the development of younger professionals and students so when I can, present on personal brand and networking skills both internally and to a range of NextGen and business networks give confidence to those at the very start of their career and others looking to step up to the next level. My team, and the collaborative culture we have installed, work with a common goal to help the lawyers we work with think differently and more creatively about business development (BD) and working with our clients.* My interests.MarTech, innovation and collaboration and how this will shape the future of BD particularly in a professional services environment. I love finding out about new technology that can support the BD function. I also enjoy innovating and developing client solutions. One of my innovation projects working on a collaborative basis with two competitor firms was highly commended at the FT Innovation Awards in 2017 and more recently in 2021, a webinar series set up for the insurance sector that I led from the BD perspective was shortlisted for a Legal Week marketing innovation award.Being involved in CSR projects. I have helped to develop the marketing strategy for a local Academy with student input as part of a Business in the Community project and more recently have talked to a group of students about non legal careers in legal services for an Into University project. Presenting to years 7 to 10 is the most difficult audience I’ve had! Please get in touch if you have an opportunity for me to be involved in something.
