About Matt Rand
An IT professional with a background in data architecture, and technical leadership currently working as a Director of Engineering for our Telematics Portfolio within the GRM U.S. Innovation Enablement division within Liberty Mutual. Joined the EDW team at Liberty Mutual in 2007 and became very familiar with data structures and warehouse methodologies. Spent more than 8 years working in Data Architecture, involved in major projects in both the Claims and Sales side of the business unit, designing, supporting, and protecting the data that the organization needed to thrive. Transitioned to management in 2017, and has helped lead a major shift to modern technologies and moving the organization away from legacy applications in the Pricing space, and more recently a greater convergence across our Personal and Business Lines areas of Pricing. Extremely motivated and independent with a history of leadership both in and out of professional settings.Specialties: Familiar with IDA, RTC, Infosphere suite, ERwin, AtanaSuite, TOAD, UML, Axure RP, SQL, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, Visual Studio, and SCRUM development methodology.Certified Teradata SQL Specialist.
