About Matthew Myrick

I grew up in San Jose, CA, and graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, where I majored in Information Systems and Finance with a minor in Computer Science. I currently live in New York City and work as a Custom Software Development Consultant for Capgemini. My current project at Capgemini is enhancing the CI/CD pipelines for NBCUniversal\'s build and deployment application process as a DevOps Engineer. Our team was also responsible for migrating the on-premise GitHub to Cloud. I enjoy learning about how technologies can improve our jobs and everyday lives. I previously worked as an FP & A Intern at Oracle where I helped automate the data pipeline processes. I found a new passion for scripting and development during this internship, which inspired me to create my own Twitter Sentiment analysis application to extend my knowledge in the NLTK python library. In my free time, I play basketball for a men\'s league and open gyms around New York City. I also help train young athletes at a local club AAU team in Queens every Friday. When I\'m spending time with friends, I like to play board games including chess and Catan. On weekends, you can find me riding my bike and discovering new neighborhoods and restaurants around the city!
