I am dedicated to helping private companies, and their shareholders, achieve their goals. I believe that managing the tax affairs of both the business and the owners is critical to creating meaningful value, as taxes are often one of the largest expenses that gets incurred, but that the \"tax tail\" should not wag the \"business dog\". My focus is on both the short term tactical issues that need to be addressed, as well as how structuring decisions can affect the long term strategy for a business and its owners. Planning for the eventual exit, which is an inevitability for every private company (be it a sale, a generational transfer, or winding up operations), is of fundamental importance.
