I am passionate about creating transportation options for people of all ages and abilities. As an engineer and planner, I strive to create balanced and equitable thoroughfares that are safe, cost-effective, and enjoyable to use. I am currently an engineer and planner at NV5 in Philadelphia. My primary responsibilities include managing the design and planning of various projects including urban streets, greenways and other bicycle/pedestrian infrastructure projects. Some of the skills that I have developed related to the design of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure (greenways, sidewalks, separated bicycle lanes, etc.) include route master planning, developing cost estimates from the planning stages to final design, bridge siting analysis, greenway plan & profile design, signing/striping, recognizing dangerous bicycle/ped/automobile interactions, and application of AASHTO and NACTO design guidelines. I also have extensive experience in the design of municipal streets, which has also included drainage and utility design, as well as traffic control. I also have experience in modern streetcar design. I am an avid bicyclist and runner, and that passion carries over into the work I do.
