About Matt Liberatore
I’m Matt Liberatore, Ed.D, LCPC — Founder and Clinical Psychotherapist at Luminary Solutions, Adjunct Professor at DePaul University, and Senior Advisor with Intellispark. My career has bridged clinical practice and educational leadership for over a decade, including my time as a school and district leader and as Past-President of the Illinois School Counselor Association.I earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago and hold master’s degrees in Counseling and Educational Leadership from Saint Xavier University and Northeastern Illinois University. I’m also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.Clinically, my passion is supporting individuals healing from early life trauma and navigating the challenges of anxiety and depression. I specialize in EMDR and IFS, integrating these approaches to help clients build resilience and find balance. One of my deepest commitments is developing the next generation of clinicians. Whether supervising therapists in my practice or teaching graduate courses at DePaul, I’m passionate about equipping emerging counselors with the skills, confidence, and perspective they need to thrive. I regularly teach courses on Trauma and Crisis Counseling, Clinical Supervision, and advanced methods such as EMDR and IFS — always with an emphasis on bridging theory with real-world application. At the core of everything I do is the belief that well-trained, well-supported clinicians have the power to change lives — and that by investing in their growth, we multiply our collective impact.
