ABOUT MATTHEW LEE
I am a multilingual, culturally competent, California-licensed clinical pharmacist and tobacco cessation specialist with extensive experience in the managed care, ambulatory care, and acute care pharmacy practice fields. Currently, I serve as a clinical pharmacist at the Health Plan of San Mateo (HPSM), where I oversee the care of over members spanning across four lines of businesses. Because Health Plan of San Mateo is a Medicaid managed care health plan, I have extensive experience with the design and implementation of Medicaid and Medicare Part D pharmacy benefits. In my current role as a clinical pharmacist, I design, implement and manage all clinical pharmacy programs within HPSM, which includes HPSM\'s Clinical Pharmacy Outreach Program (a face-to-face academic detailing service provided to network prescribers). Furthermore, I have spearheaded the creation and the management of a Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Event (PDE) Reconciliation Program, which involves reviewing and correcting Part D PDE errors at HPSM.My professional interests include Medicare Part D program compliance (CDAG), formulary benefit design & management, utilization management, specialty pharmacy, HEDIS/CMS STARS measures, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), biostatistics, pharmacoeconomics, medical injectables, medication therapy management, transitions of care, and tobacco cessation.
