ABOUT MATTHEW WILLIAMS
I am a Data Scientist and part-qualified Actuary. I am currently a Pricing Manager at Hastings Direct, working on multi-car pricing.I have previously worked at Hastings in the data science team, focussing on various models for home and motor insurance. I have also worked for Aviva in the bulk annuities team, and Staysure in travel insurance pricing. I have gained experience across different lines of insurance, from a risk and retail perspective, along with using different tools, technologies and methods. My focus now is primarily on retail pricing.In 2020 I completed the MSc Data Science course at Lancaster University with distinction. The programme gave me valuable skills to take into an exciting and growing field. I completed my dissertation on \'Bayesian Dynamic Modelling of Football Results\'.I graduated from the University of Leicester in 2016 with a first class BSc in Mathematics and Actuarial Science.I am also an assistant for angelajohnsonartwork.co.uk - a fantastic artist!
