About Matt Kaulig

Kaulig is an award-winning entrepreneur, business owner, and philanthropist. He is the executive chairman of Kaulig Companies Limited, his single member family office, known for offering a diverse spectrum of businesses, which includes sports and entertainment, marketing and events, private equity, real estate, and philanthropy, with a focus on children and families. Additionally, Kaulig is the founder of Leaf Home, which is a contractor business he started out of his home in 2005, which is now one of the largest direct to consumer home products companies in the United States and Canada. His sports ventures include Kaulig Racing™ a full-time, multi-car NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team, and he is an MLB minority owner of the Cleveland Guardians baseball team along with sponsoring and running The Kaulig Companies Championship, a PGA Champions Tour Major at Firestone CC in Akron, OH. Kaulig’s philanthropy work is also notable, as he has been a major contributor to the Northeast Ohio area since his college days when he led the University of Akron football team at quarterback. He is the founder of Kaulig Charitable Giving Programs, which has given to over 400 nonprofits that focus on children and families in need through direct giving, community involvement, and partnerships with like-minded organizations. Kaulig, along with his wife Lisa are also the founders of and donors to Samantha’s Gift of Hope. Samantha’s Gift of Hope is a monetary award presented quarterly to select couples who applied, joined, & successfully qualified for the Pinnacle Fertility-Reproductive Gynecology & Infertility’s IVF 100% Success Guaranteed Plan at Northeast Ohio office locations. To date, 31 babies have been born from the generosity of Matt and Lisa. Several notable recent accomplishments include the NCAA “Legends and Legacy Award”, Harvard Business School, “Entrepreneur of the Year”, induction into the Cleveland Business “Hall of Fame”, “Entrepreneur of the Year”, by Ernst and Young, and being named an Akron Children’s Hospital “Champions for Children” Honoree.
