School Governor for a primary school in multi-academy trust (L.E.A.D Academy Trust). A school governor is expected to help the school with its strategy, hold the headteacher to account for the school\'s performance and make sure the budget is properly managed. I am the lead governor for Pupil Premium funding, which is additional to the main school funding and is allocated to schools to address inequalities between children eligible for free school meals and those children who are not. My role is to ensure the funding is used in line with the agreed strategy, and ensure that staff are aware of this strategy and which pupils should benefit from it.
