Harbour Master Certificate Chief Officer Unlimited (STCW Advanced Gas EndorsementBasic + Advanced ice Navigation Azipod Operation and Management Safety Officer My current experience is shore based as Harbour Master + Marine Operations manager at Ramsgate Royal Harbour + Port of Ramsgate Prior to this I worked on the fast paced Dover to Calais ferry service and have vast experience on Ice Breaking LNG TankersWorking on this new and exciting project I completed many specialist courses to work within polar regions and have kept over 100 days independent ice navigation watches in a variety of ice conditions. During ice navigation I am regularly practicing my ship handling using the vessels 3 ABB Azipods and have completed the Azipod operational and management course In Finland helping me to further my knowledge in ship handling and operation As well as experience within the polar regions I have also experienced the delivery of a new vessel, from the shipyard through to her first discharge actively involved in the set up and maintenance of FFE/ LSA and navigational equipment onboard Before joining Teekay I completed a cadetship at Warsash Maritime Academy sponsored by Maritime London in partnership with Chiltern Maritime.Here I gained over 13 months experience at sea; 6 months on a product tanker, 3.5 months on a coastal LPG tanker and 3.5 months on a P&O cruise ship. These experiences combined gave me a great insight into the different areas and workings of the maritime industry. Through my tanker experiences I worked on deck during loading and discharging cargos whilst also running cargo watches under supervision. My time with P and O taught me about Bridge Resource Management and communication throughout the ship.
