ABOUT MATTI POLYCHRONIS
I’m a senior partnerships and brand marketing leader with 20+ years of experience driving strategic collaborations, major events, and multimillion‑dollar sponsorships across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. My career includes leading national brand initiatives for Global Television, securing major partnerships for the Art Gallery of Ontario, overseeing marketing for 600+ LCBO stores, and playing a key role on CBC’s Olympic marketing team for two Olympic broadcasts. As a passionate advocate for community development, I served as a City of North Vancouver Commissioner (2010–2016), providing governance leadership for the North Vancouver Museum and Archives. I chaired the Fund Development Committee and led the vision, fundraising, and execution of MONOVA—North Vancouver’s new museum—which opened in 2022.Today, I lead corporate partnerships and marquee events at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, including Canada Together, the largest Canada Day celebration outside Ottawa, and Port Day, a flagship stakeholder‑focused event that strengthens relationships across the Port of Vancouver community. I also served on the port authority’s Community Investment Committee, helping shape sponsorship and goodwill initiatives across 16 municipalities. I continue to champion arts and culture through board and committee roles including my current role as a Board member of the Vancouver Maritime Museum.
