ABOUT MATTIE LOYCE
Mattie Loyce is an interdisciplinary artist/curator and community advocate originally from and currently based in San Francisco, CA. Critically engaging socio-political content, and encouraging empowerment through transformative justice are key to her community work and socially engaged artist practice. Throughout her career she has made a commitment to amplifying the voices and supporting the lives of people with marginalized identities, specifically people and artists of the African Diaspora, Queer people and People of Color. Mattie is currently working as the Community Development Manager, at DISH (Delivering Innovation in Supportive Housing) in San Francisco where she leads a creative and holistic program for residents affected by homelessness and serious health issues in the Tenderloin. Over her career she has worked internationally across the United States, Brasil, the Caribbean, and United Kingdom collaborating and producing community-based projects and artworks.
