ABOUT MATTIA BELLO
I am a certified teacher in Ontario and a special education specialist. I am very passionate about working with children, helping them develop their human and academic potential. I am creative and open to trying new teaching practices. Moreover, I am a life long learner, always looking to improve.As well, I am the Executive Director of Accademia dei Ragazzi, one of the best Italian schools in Toronto. In this leadership role, it is my duty to design a strong Italian language program for children and youth, compose classes, hire teaching staff, plan and execute activities aimed at increasing clients’ base, as well as work on marketing and branding. I am an experienced native speaking Italian instructor as I have been teaching Italian to kids and adults since 2013. I feel honored and humbled to promote the Italian language and culture in Canada. Because of my extensive background as a reporter, using varied media sources, I have encouraged readers throughout my work to be inquisitive and discerning. I believe this is also a main goal of education: to encourage the pursuit of knowledge and to promote inquiry-based learning. This means that an educator is asked to present opportunities for students to gain knowledge through stimulating and engaging activities.I have been fortunate to have worked in diverse communities with different socio-economic backgrounds. These experiences have served to reinforce my sensitivity to the needs of children and to the fact that my approach to students must be diverse, flexible and continuously evolving.
