Matthieu is a Principal in the Montreal office with 20+ years’ experience in the design and design management of bridge and complex infrastructure projects in North America, Europe, East Asia, and Africa.Matthieu is experienced in successfully delivering major infrastructure projects with multidisciplinary teams for highway, light-rail, and airport schemes. His expertise spans all stages of development from concept design to detailed design and implementation during construction, as well as assessment and retrofit of existing structures.From his early professional career within Setec in France (20••••13) and thereafter with Arup in the United Kingdom (20••••21), Matthieu has gained technical expertise in the design of long-span bridges, prestressed concrete and steel bridges, and also experience in the design of complex buildings and stadia.Matthieu notably worked on more than 10 cable supported bridge projects including prestigious structures such as the Millau Viaduct in France, the Russky Viaduct in Russia (the world’s largest cables stayed span), the Third Bosphorus Bridge in Turkey and the Samuel-De Champlain bridge in Canada.Resulting from his specialist technical expertise and his strong communication skills, Matthieu has taught on MEng/March courses in various engineering and architectural schools in France.
