Matthias Wissel is the CIO of Springer Nature Group. Matthias promotes co-creation of business value with diverse teams and strongly believes that trust, openness, inclusivity, and learning can create positive experiences for our communities. He believes that the world can be a better place with free access to education and knowledge.Matthias has had a long-standing association with Springer since 2009 when he was Managing Director for the New Media & IT business and established his presence in the value chain in the subsequent years as VP, Integration Management of Springer Nature. Matthias was also Head of IT-Services Springer BauMedien Heinze at Springer Science+Business Media in 2006. He started his career in the year with Kirchner + Robrecht management consultants as a Senior Consultant and worked with Saarbrücker Zeitung Group as Head of Central Information Technology/Organization, a few years later.
