ABOUT MATTHIAS WITT
After my PhD in organic chemistry (University of Bielefeld, Germany) with focus on gas-phase ion chemistry of amides/diamides and hydrogen bonding using mass spectrometry, I did a one year post-doc at the University of California, Santa Barbara, CA, USA in Mike Bowers lab using ion mobility in the gas phase. I joined Bruker Daltonics as an application chemist for Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FTICR-MS) in April since 2018 Magnetic resonance mass spectrometry (MRMS). I am responsible in Bremen for MRMS instrument training and demonstration beside training documentation, customer support, conference presentations, support of research projects etc. I have expert knowledge in various mass spectrometry techniques such as MRMS, ESI-QTOF, MALDI-TOF, timsTOF, timsTOF flex and hyphenated techniques such as LC/MS and GC/MS and applications of high resolution mass spectrometry in proteomics, petroleomics, complex mixture analysis, metabolomics, food analysis, protein analysis, MALDI Imaging and environmental chemistry. Beside mass spectrometry I work with chromatograghy and statistical methods (PCA, PLS etc.) as well as ion mobility. I published more than 120 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals mainly in petroleomics, environmental chemistry, gas phase ion chemistry and fundamentals of mass spectrometry. My h-index is 48 My i10 index is 112 (see google scholar and research gate). https://scholar.google.de/citations?hl=de & & view_op=list_works & sortby=title
