During his professional and successful career as a musician, Matthias Hauser came to understand that art is a wide system through which all specific artistic languages dialogue with each other in their representation of the world. This led him to open an art gallery in La Coruña, Spain, which he ran for 15 years after having organized a number of musical events around Europe. As an art curator and art dealer, he was invited to a number of important events such as the Multimedia Art Dialogue at the Main Palais, Frankfurt, in 2012, and the Rolls Royce participation at the São Paulo Art Fair, in Brazil, 2014, for which he designed an outstanding room where art displayed its contribution to industry and craftsmanship and its unique capacity to aggregate value to otherwise usual products. For the Berlin Gallery Weekend in 2015, Matthias Hauser again designed a special art show for the Rolls Royce\'s showroom on Kurfürstendamm.He has been invited in 2019 to the position of Media Solution Center\'s first director which is a natural outcome of his previous experience with the dialogue between art and industry. The Media Solution Center (MSC) is an extension of the High Computing Center (HLRS) at the University of Stuttgart. As such, MSC dedicates itself to building bridges between HLRS\' computing capacity - which is one of the largest in the world in the hands of civil society- and the needs of industries, university research centers, art institutions and social organisations in terms of computing resources. Computational skills have become necessary as a central tool for mankind and it is MSC\'s mission to cooperate in all possible ways with the general effort in the direction of a technology which incorporates art as a basic element for human life.

The focus of the MSC BW is to connect scientific and technical capacities to companies and projects in the media and cultural landscape.New Visions for HPC and the Media ArtsThe Media Solution Center supports collaborations between HPC experts and leaders in the arts and media industries. Founded in 2018 by HLRS, together with the Hochschule der Medien and the Center for Art and Media (ZKM), the Media Solution Center Baden-Württemberg (MSC) promotes innovation in the arts and the media industries by facilitating access to technologies and expertise in high-performance computing and visualization. MSC\'s first public initiative will take place in Stuttgart next September 2021: a Convention gathering together academic researchers, professionals and artists in order to discuss the nature of eCulture, or electronic culture, and the openings for the creative economy, a meaningful pillar for the 21st century.
