WORK HISTORY
Research Engineer @Gcaps
The Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation (GCAPS) provides accurate and affordable models to support virtual development for the transportation industry. The simulation group, which has significant experience ranging from mathematical model development to graphic design to tire mechanics, is an important aspect of our successful model creation. These models—including tire models, vehicle models, and environments—are created from both customer data sources and physical testing performed in our own advanced testing facilities, which feature the world’s most capable indoor flat-belt machine. My duties include- Model development and creation through application of physical and mathematical concepts - Simulation environment creation and modification - Model correlation with test data and validation within the simulation framework - Maintaining simulations relative to assignments - Creation of code for data reduction and data evaluation - Creation of code to evaluate performance of simulation to support model creation - Engage in proof-of-concept work and perform early-stage product development - Support and develop analytical and algorithm solutions for technical projects - Conduct literature reviews and understand the state-of-the-art and its evolution for current projects and proof of concept work; attend relevant industry and academic conferences
