These products are then used by utilities, homeowners, and other Energy Efficiency (EE) experts to make informed decisions regarding new EE programs and upgrades.

ABOUT MATTHEW V.
As a Professional Engineer and Senior Project Manager I have overseen the complete life cycles of municipal and energy infrastructure projects across western Canada. My roles on these projects have included interdisciplinary coordination to manage engineering design, consultation, permitting and construction for the oil sands, pipelines, municipal development, high-precision deformation monitoring, survey control networks, site grading, roadways, deep undergrounds, as well as power transmission and distribution projects. I have been responsible for technical reviews and quality assurance on a wide variety of engineering, cadastral, geotechnical, and regulatory projects. In the field, I have managed survey crews working on petrochemical processing facilities, pipelines, roadways, railways, power lines, subdivisions as well as high-precision surveys for aerospace, industrial installations, LRT, and hydroelectric dams. I also have extensive experience with prelim engineering surveys using 3D laser scanning, Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) and bathymetric survey technologies. I have been responsible for drafting construction specs, contracts, and supervising contractors as a Field Engineer. In my current role as a Data Scientist, I am leveraging many of the skills that I acquired while completing my Masters in Software Engineering including Python and Linux Shell scripting, Data Engineering and ETL processes, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Database Design.
