Edenred PayTech is Europe\'s leading Processor and Issuer working globally across a number of industries, providing a range of services across banking, mobile payments, card issuance and transaction processing.As Head of Engineering I\'m accountable for the Edenred PayTech payment processing platform that delivers secure, scalable and performant services to our customers.Successfully scaled the Engineering department (to 180+), recruiting across the UK and Romania to meet the growing needs of the business. Leading on the vision and strategy for Engineering, we have embarked on an ambitious journey to modernise and evolve our systems and practices, specifically: • Implementation of Agile and DevOps practices to drive improvements to productivity and realising business value. • Significant improvements in engineering efficiency and effectiveness through embedding the use of industry metrics (e.g. DORA), utilising LinearB and a shared engineering vision and OKRs. • Successful adoption of AWS as our primary hosting provider, leveraging the scale and geographical reach and well as cloud-native services • Re-architecture and re-development of existing transaction systems to a new micro-service architecture • Re-organisation of the engineering function to provide opportunities for growth, innovation and career progression.
