About Matthew Trimble
Matt Trimble finds great joy in the challenge to propel the built environment into progressively greater degrees of beauty, efficiency, honesty, and simplicity. He is a follower of Jesus Christ, a bricoleur, an athlete, an artist, a musician, an academic, a builder, and a dreamer. He is currently working with the CertainTeed Platforms Team on light and sustainable construction at Saint Gobain Research North America as Principal Designer.Trimble is a building innovation professional with a diverse range of experience in the fields of architecture, real estate development, product development, and industrial design. From 20••••18 he was founder and principal of Radlab (Research + Design Lab), an award-winning experimental fabrication studio based in Boston, Massachusetts. Trimble’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He has taught seminars, workshops, and studios at the Boston Architectural College, the Wentworth Institute of Technology, MIT, the Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala City, the Rhode Island School of Design, and the American University of Sharjah. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture from The University of Memphis, with Honors, and a Master of Architecture degree from MIT, where he was awarded the Avalon Travel Fellowship. Trimble previously served as Director of Product Development for VC-backed Branch Technology, developing ground-breaking 3d printed building enclosure systems, and is co-founder of Chattanooga-based real estate investment firm, Scenic City Nomads.Trimble has ample experience managing multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects at various scales. His work is focused primarily in the AEC industry, and is currently geared toward residential development.
