ABOUT MATTHEW SUNTUP
I’m a Senior Engineer at Advanced Navigation, working across robotics, inertial navigation, and space systems. I focus on developing and supporting resilient technologies that enable autonomy where GPS doesn’t reach, from underground mines to the lunar surface.I recently relocated from Sydney to London to expand our presence across EMEA. Before joining Advanced Navigation, I was at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, researching planetary rover mobility and building on earlier experience developing satellite and space situational awareness tools at Saber Astronautics.Alongside my role, I contributed to the integration of a star tracker on the CUAVA-2 satellite, now in low Earth orbit, and I serve as an industry judge for the Australian Rover Challenge.
